How do I convert percentage to CGPA?
The standard UGC formula is CGPA = Percentage ÷ 9.5. For example, 76% equals 76 ÷ 9.5 = 8.0 CGPA. Some universities use their own formula — pick yours above.
What is the percentage to CGPA formula for VTU?
VTU inverts its rule to CGPA = Percentage ÷ 10 + 0.75. For 72.5% that's 72.5 ÷ 10 + 0.75 = 8.0 CGPA.
Is percentage ÷ 9.5 correct for every university?
No. It's the UGC standard used by CBSE and many universities, but VTU, Mumbai, Anna University and others differ. Always confirm your own university's rule.
