How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
The standard UGC formula is Percentage = CGPA × 9.5. For example, a CGPA of 8.0 equals 8.0 × 9.5 = 76%. Some universities use their own formula — pick yours in the tool above.
What is the CGPA to percentage formula for VTU?
VTU (and AKTU/JNTU) use Percentage = (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. For a CGPA of 8.0 that's (8.0 − 0.75) × 10 = 72.5%.
What is the Mumbai University formula?
Mumbai University uses Percentage = 7.1 × CGPA + 11. For a CGPA of 8.0 that's 7.1 × 8.0 + 11 = 67.8%.
Is CGPA × 9.5 correct for all universities?
No. CGPA × 9.5 is the UGC standard used by CBSE and many universities, but VTU, Mumbai, Anna University and others differ. Always confirm your own university's rule.
