Watermark PDF

Stamp text or a logo over every page — with full control of opacity, angle, colour and position, and a live preview. Everything runs inside your browser: your file is never uploaded, so nothing can leak. It even works offline.

Your file never leaves your device. This tool has no upload endpoint — it's not a promise, it's the architecture. Your PDF is read, stamped and verified locally in your browser and never sent to any server.

How to watermark a PDF (without uploading it)

Most "watermark PDF" websites upload your file to their servers, stamp it there, and send it back — then promise to delete it an hour later. This one is different: it does the whole job on your device, shows you a live preview first, and checks its own work before handing you the file.

Why this is safer. Since the tool never uploads your file, there is no copy of it on any server to be hacked, cached, indexed, or leaked. And because it verifies the output before download, you never get a silently corrupted PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Your file is read into your device's memory and watermarked locally — it's never sent to any server, so there's no way for it to leak. It even works offline once the page has loaded.
Can I add a logo image as a watermark?
Yes. Switch to Image mode and upload a PNG or JPG — your logo is decoded on your device and stamped over each page. You control its size, opacity and position, and it never gets uploaded either.
Can I control the opacity, angle and position?
Fully. Set opacity from 10% to 100%, rotate to any angle, pick a colour and font, and place the mark in a single spot on a 3×3 grid or tile it repeatedly across the whole page. A live preview updates as you change each option.
Which pages get the watermark?
By default every page. You can also target specific pages with a range like 1-3, 7 — only those pages are stamped, the rest are left untouched.
Why can't I use emoji or non-Latin text?
The built-in PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) only cover Latin characters, so emoji and scripts like Devanagari, Arabic or CJK can't be drawn. If your text contains them, the tool tells you instead of producing a broken file. For a non-Latin logo, use Image mode instead.
Will it damage or corrupt my PDF?
No. After stamping, the tool re-opens the result and verifies the page count is exactly the same as the original before letting you download. If a check fails, it stops and tells you.
Is it really free?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up, no account limits, and unlike most sites it adds no watermark of its own. It's part of AttendFlow's free student tools.
